CAM. A Grand Vision
In July 2001 Car Audio Masters (CAM) was born out of a vision to align and unite independent car audio specialists across Australia. CAM allows independent retailers to strengthen their businesses by accessing nationwide marketing strategies and preferred supplier products without compromising their unique brand.

Initially CAM started with 27 shop fronts and has expanded to join forces of over 80 shop fronts today. In only seven years CAM has gone from strength to strength as a result of outstanding support from the industries largest suppliers and recruitment of quality members.

The initial bond of specialist car audio sales and installation that brought CAM together has, through advancements in automotive design and technology expanded to include a host of other specific 12-volt technologies.

In 2008 CAM was selected to exclusively distribute products of one of the worlds largest Portable Navigation Device companies to the entire member base. This development shows great respect for CAM’s marketing,

distribution and member network and is a model that will appeal to many suppliers looking to streamline their delivery methods to one central distribution centre.

CAM aims to be recognised as a trusted and respected national organization that provides tangible benefits to its members, their customers and preferred suppliers. These benefits include facilitating a national lifetime installation warranty, advertising in a range of media and other essential business tools.

In order to ensure that the CAM name is trusted for great service and facilities, CAM requires that an independent car audio specialist store aspiring to become a member must have a presentable show room with display facilities, workshop facilities capable of carrying out high-quality installations and employ at least one qualified car audio installer.
